HOULTON — A detention hearing scheduled in Juvenile Court for a 15-year-old Crystal boy charged with kidnapping a 14-year-old Crystal girl at knife point was postponed until Monday after the accused youth’s attorney was unable to be in court.

State police said Thursday the boy would be detained in the Aroostook County jail with no bail.

According to police, the girl was taken from her residence Tuesday night, but returned home Wednesday morning. Police on Thursday declined to provide details of the alleged abduction, describing it as involving “a neighborhood boy and a neighborhood girl.”

Police said they arrested the boy Wednesday evening at a gravel pit in Crystal.
