Jon Carney powers Mattanawcook past Lee

LEE – The Mattanawcook Academy Lynx went on an 18-0 run at the end of the first quarter and held off the Lee Academy Pandas the rest of the way for a 93-83 schoolboy basketball victory Tuesday night.

Jon Carney led the Lynx of Lincoln with a game-high 29 points while Matt Malone and D.J. LaPlante each scored 16. Nathan Cousineau contributed 11.

Jeremy Ham had 25 points to pace Lee while Jason Mallett, Frank Severance and Frank Carpenter each added 12. Nate Dow chipped in with 11 points.
