Toney, Footer help Shead tip Machias

EASTPORT – Ben Toney scored 13 points and grabbed 20 rebounds to help Shead hold off a Machias rally and earn a 59-57 schoolboy basketball win Wednesday night.

Darrin Constant scored 21 points for Shead while Ben Maloney contributed 11 points and 11 rebounds.

Joe Richards tallied 27 points for the Bulldogs. Chris Correll netted 19.
