MACHIAS – The Machias Wild Blueberry Festival Committee is gearing up for the Blueberry Banner Contest.

Contestants may enter in one of three categories – children under 16 years of age, adults or families and organization or business.

The banners depicting blueberries or other symbols of Washington County will be judged Aug. 11, the first day of the annual Wild Blueberry Festival. Winners in each of the three categories will receive a $50 savings bond.
