ST. AGATHA – Nate Deschaine, Josh Roy, and Eric Soucy stroked RBI singles in a three-run fifth inning as Wisdom edged Ashland 3-2 in high school baseball action Tuesday afternoon.

Deschaine, Joey Soucy, and Shawn Rossignol doubled for the winners. Ben Jalbert picked up the win, pitching five innings after starter Eric Soucy developed a sore shoulder.

Lee Durnell and Chad Cyr singled twice each for Ashland to back Charlie Robinson, who struck out three and scattered six hits.

At Washburn, Josh Dillon pitched 7 2/3 innings of no-hit ball, striking out 14 and walking four, to outduel Washburn’s Wade Willett.

Morgan Coghill singled in the game-winner in the top of the eighth. Ed Chappell followed with an RBI single and eventually scored on a passed ball.

Willett struck out 15 and walked four for the Beavers and broke up Dillon’s no-hitter with a single in the eighth.

At Washburn, the Beavers got a two-hitter from Tim Gagnon and scored the game-winner on four consecutive walks in the bottom of the seventh in their second game against two different opponents Tuesday afternoon.

Gagnon, Wade Willett, and Justin Bell stroked two-out singles to account for the first two Washburn runs in the third inning. Gagnon struck out five and walked one.

Ben Desjardin and Eric Gendreau singled for Madawaska.

At Searsport, Nate Hall was the star in the Vikings’ victory, striking out 11 batters and hitting a three-run homer in the third inning as the Vikings rolled.

Justin Connor added a two-run shot in the third inning and a second homer for three RBIs. Hall added another home run and a single for six RBIs. Matt Martin doubled and singled to drive in two runs and Vaughn Littlefield added a double and a single for Searsport.

Allan Stanwood hit a two-run home run for the Knights of Harrington.

At Presque Isle, the Wildcats’ Chris Lavaway held Caribou to four hits over five innings.

Nick Nadeau stroked two singles and drove in three runs for the Wildcats. Chris Michaud had three singles and a run batted in. Ben Yaeger singled and doubled to knock in three runs. Marc Wood singled twice.

Jamie Bell singled and drove in a run for Caribou.

At East Corinth, senior Ed Houston belted his first two homers of the season, a pair of two-run shots, and he also had an RBI triple to pace Central to the win.

Houston also went the distance on the mound, scattering seven hits while striking out six and walking three.

Keith Partridge homered and tripled and drove in two runs for the winners, who erupted for five first-inning runs behind Partridge’s homer, one of Houston’s clouts, and Billy Kane’s RBI single.

Bud Webb had a two-run single for Penquis and Nate Hussey doubled.

Weed finished with two home runs, a single, and six RBIs for the Mariners. Derek Sawyer blasted a two-run home run and Eric Haskell went 2-for-4 with two singles and an RBI.

Noah Sargent launched a two-run homer and a single for the Patriots. Aaron Davis doubled in a run.

Dan Emerson blasted a two-run home run for Old Town in the fifth inning and added a pair of singles. Gasaway singled three times. Jared Foster had two singles and two RBIs. Paul Dumont doubled and singled.

Tom Davis ripped a two-run double and a single for Hampden. Matt Gilbert singled three times and drove in a run.
