Boyd scores three, Panthers win second

EASTON – Lindsay Boyd recorded three goals in the first half to power Central Aroostook of Mars Hill to a 3-2 victory over Easton in schoolgirl soccer action Thursday.

Nina Chamadoiro, April Clockedile and Misty Pratt each notched an assist for the 2-0 Panthers. Goalie Darci Walsh recorded 10 saves on 15 shots.

Kathy Williams scored a goal and Brandi Blanchard added a goal with an assist from Sarah Sullivan for 0-1 Easton. Mary Williams saved eight of 21 shots.

Madawaska 3, Wisdom 0

At Madawaska, Steph Gagnon stopped six of the seven shots she faced to earn the shutout.

Kristin Pelletier netted the first goal of the game off an assist from Jenny Boucher. Boucher scored with an assist from Kristine Cyr and Katia Sirois scored the final goal for the 2-0 Owls.

Jen Derosier saved 12 of 24 shots for 0-2 Wisdom.
