In a Page One story in Tuesday’s editions, family members of the Hampden man who allegedly stabbed his daughter confirmed to the NEWS that John Havlin was evaluated at Eastern Maine Medical Center days before the alleged stabbing. Dr. Erik Steele did not confirm that information, in keeping with hospital policy. Steele would not discuss whether Havlin visited EMMC or what his treatment may have been.
