I, along with many other Maine residents, enjoy reading about various high school happenings in your paper’s sports section. I often read the results of soccer games, even if they aren’t about the school I attend.

I do, however, have one complaint. I play on the volleyball team at Woodland High School and would like to see larger write-ups for volleyball games. This is only the second year of state competition for volleyball, but the sport is starting to spread throughout Maine.

A good way to help promote the growth of this sport is to give it more attention. I enjoy reading about other sports, but would also like to read more about volleyball. The sports section contains small write-ups of the results from some volleyball games, but I would like to see larger articles on high school volleyball. Sarah Goding Baileyville
