ALBANY, N.Y. – Emmy Russell scored 16 points and Libby Russe ALBANY, N.Y. – Emmy Russell scored 16 points and Libby Russell contributed eight as the Bangor YMCA 14-under girls team captured the YMCA Eastern Regional Championship game held at Siena College.

Bangor defeated Carbondale (Pa.) YMCA 38-32 to capture the crown. Carbondale was led by Betty Lou Meital’s 14 points.

Players on the Bangor team included: Laura Clark, Emmy Russell, Megan Chase, Stephanie Chase, Libby Russell, Charlee Simpson, Megan McCrum, Kristin Littlefield, Ashley Page, Ashley Ireland, Marissa MacLeod. The team was coached by Neal McCrum and Jim Russell.

Of the four YMCA divisions (East, South, Midwest and West), only the East has such a tournament.
