BANGOR – Penobscot Job Corps held graduation ceremonies Jan. 25 at the center, with U.S. Rep. John E. Baldacci as the keynote speaker.

The Rev. Dr. James Haddix of the All Souls Congregational Church offered the invocation, and student Cody Norris spoke on “My Mission.”

Dick Madore and Rita Buddemeyer presented high school diplomas. GEDs were presented by Paul DeLisle and Gary Theriault. Richard Strebel and Lucy Higgins presented certifications for certified nursing assistants, while vocational certifications were presented by Regina Lavin, Keith Madden and Alice Drew.

Deputy Director Judi Curry conferred diplomas. Also speaking were Patti Joy, center director; Sandra Slate, business and community liaison; and Andrea Hand, career development services. Alumni Tabitha Andrews and Jim Gagnon awarded alumni scholarships.

Deshona Floyd offered the welcome to family and friends, and led the Pledge of Allegiance.
