BANGOR — Bangor Center Corp. is organizing a downtown Bangor studio-gallery tour for early November. The effort is part of Bangor Center Corp.’s commitment to establishing the downtown district as the arts and cultural center of the region.

All downtown artists, craftspeople and gallery owners are invited to participate. Participating studios and galleries will be highlighted on a map of the district, showing the location and a brief description of the artist and his or her work.

Proceeds from ticket sales will be given as scholarship funds to the University of Maine Art Department. To register as a participating artist or gallery, please call Linda Packard at 990-2774 by Oct. 1.
