Lue leads Colby past USM

WATERVILLE – Jamie Lue scored with 13 seconds left to lift Colby to a 2-1 victory over the University of Southern Maine Thursday in men’s soccer action.

Lue also scored to tie the game. Noam Dorros assisted on Lue’s game winner for the 2-2 White Mules.

Jamie Everhart scored an unassisted goal for the 3-3-2 Huskies of Gorham.

UM-Farmington 3, Lyndon State 2

At Lyndonville, Vt., Brian Mawhinny, Fer O’Neil and Jeff Meinhart recorded a goal apiece to improve UM-Farmington to 5-2.

Tyler Berthiaume assisted twice in the win. Nick Moulton and Ben Blouin combined to make three saves.

Mike Pellitier and Nate Phelps notched a goal each while Berry Codciette assited once. Kurt Pschenbach recorded three saves for 2-4-1 Lyndon State College.

Field Hockey

Colby 6, St. Joseph’s 1

At Standish, Becca Bruce knocked in two goals as the White Mules cruised.

Robynne DeCaprio, Emi Domoto-Reilly, Marcia Ingraham and Lizzy Brant also scored for Colby of Waterville. Jane Stevens and Carrie Torrisi combined for four saves on five shots.

Jen Marsh recorded a goal for the Monks of Standish. Laura Lombardi made 39 saves on 45 shots.
