HOULTON — Registration is under way for the winter term of adult education at five sites in southern Aroostook County. Most classes will begin the week of Jan. 10, 2000. While registration will continue during the first week of classes, adults are encouraged to register as soon as possible.
Northern Maine Technical College has evening courses at the Houlton and Hodgdon high schools. People interested in NMTC courses should call 532-6554 or 768-2700 for information.
People interested in high school completion may register for classes at any time during the semester. There is no charge for literacy or high school completion. GED preparation is offered at all five sites. GED examination is offered at East Grand and Houlton adult education programs.
Residents 17 years of age and older and not enrolled in public school may register in person or over the phone.
