AMANDA RODGERSON
The University of New England’s Amanda Rodgerson was named Player of the Week by the Maine Women’s Basketball Coaches Association, the New England Women’s Basketball Association and the Commonwealth Coast Conference. Rodgerson, a Hampden native, recorded four double-doubles in four games while shooting 52 percent from the field and averaging 24points and 14 rebounds. She added seven assists, five blocks and six steals.
JASON ASHUR
Jason Ashur of Connecticut College has been named the New England Small College Athletic Conference Player of the Week. The Northeast Harbor native averaged 17 points in 19 minutes per game in three wins and connected on 68 percent of his shots and went 12-for-18 from the 3-point arc.
ERIN LOVELY
Erin Lovely of Thomas College has earned Rookie of the Week honors from both the Maine Women’s Basketball Coaches Association and the Maine Athletic Conference. Lovely, an Oxford native, scored a career-high 27 points in a game against UM-Presque Isle and netted 24 against St. Joseph’s last week.
MATT TOWNSEND
UM-Presque Isle’s Matt Townsend has been named the Maine Athletic Conference Player of the Week. The Blaine native averaged 20 points in two wins and committed one turnover in the two games.
TONY HEAL
Tony Heal of UM-Machias has earned Maine Athletic Conference Rookie of the Week honors. Heal, a Milo native, averaged 18 points in three games.
