On Thursday the ice at Basin Mills remained just where it camped the day it came to town, but the river seemed to be getting under or around it all right, for a fall of two feet was recorded at Orono. At Bangor there is not the least excitement – just the usual riverful of ice, calmly rotting away under the influence of wind, snow and sun.
