WATERVILLE – The Bates College softball team won its sixth and seventh straight games by sweeping a doubleheader from Husson College Monday afternoon.
Bates edged the Braves 8-7 in the first game and followed that with an 11-1 win in the second.
In game one, Teresa Janisch had two RBIs for Bates hitting a double. Sami Hubbard tallied two doubles for Husson.
In game two, Anna Wulffleff led the Bobcats with a pair of hits and four RBI. Janisch, Shannon Browher and Carla Flaherty combined to score seven of Bates’ runs.
