WOODLAND – Woodland will host two Downeast Athletic Conference preseason, round-robin, high school basketball tournaments this weekend as area teams gear up for the high school hoops season.

The action starts with the boys tournament on Friday. The Woodland girls will play Easton at 6 p.m., Shead of Eastport will play Easton at 6:40 p.m., Shead plays Lubec at 7:20 p.m., Lubec plays Calais at 8 p.m. and Calais goes against Woodland at 8:40 p.m. Each game is 16 minutes long.

On Saturday, Lubec vs. Calais is the first matchup of the girls tournament at 6 p.m. Calais plays Woodland at 6:40 p.m., Woodland plays Shead at 7:20 p.m. and Shead plays Lubec at 8 p.m. to close out the tourney action.

Admission to each tournament is $2 per person.
