BREWER – Tony Fernandez nailed a double and two singles for one RBI to lead Worcester Peat over Mortgage Network to a 7-2 win in the first game of a Portland Twilight League doubleheader on Sunday, but Mortgage Network recovered and earned a 12-2 win in the nightcap.

In the first game, Rob Worcester struck out eight while Aaron Largay singled for three RBIs for Worcester Peat.

Mike Horton singled twice with two RBIs as Aaron Young ripped a single and scored a run to lead Mortgage Network.

In the second game, John Shaw struck out 12 to pace Mortgage Network to the win.

Mike Horton belted a triple, a double and two singles with three RBIs and scored two runs for Mortgage Network while Aaron Young singled and double, drove in two runs and scored once.

Fernandez and Josh Sadlier singled with one RBI to lead Worcester Peat.
