BANGOR – Bangor rallied for seven runs in the bottom of the seventh inning to beat Brewer 12-11 in Little League All-Star baseball action for ages 13-14 Tuesday at Mansfield Stadium.
A Brewer win would have secured it the District 3 title, but the tourney is double elimination, so Bangor and Brewer will battle for the title today at 5 p.m. at Mansfield.
Bangor’s tying and winning runs scored on an error. Tyler Heber had the key hit of the inning for Bangor, a two-run double.
Heber also had a single and Nate Hall registered a double and a single. P.J. Dowe contributed a pair of singles.
For Brewer, Nate Bond and Andrew Patterson ripped three singles apiece. Nye Gifford, Kevin Kotredes and Justin Hardy each added two singles.

At Brewer, Bryant Ciomei fired a no-hitter, striking out nine and walking only one, as Coastal of Blue Hill defeated Brewer. Ciomei aided his own cause with a double, single and an RBI.
Coastal scored all of its runs in the first, fueled by Ross Gallagher’s two-run homer. Seth Brayton contributed a run-scoring double during the inning.
The game was called after five innings due to rain.

Acadian 6, Old Town 4
At Bangor, RBIs by Brandon Colbeth and Travis Tripp in the fourth inning provided the difference in Acadian’s win over previously undefeated Old Town.
Brad Dalton had two singles and a triple for Acadian while Brandon Colbeth and Basil Mahaney contributed with two singles each.
For Old Town, Andy Pease hit a single and a double while Roger Cole and Brad Goody both had doubles.

Sunrise 18, Hampden-New. 12
At Milbridge, Nichole Leach pounded out a double and a single to lead Sunrise of Milbridge over Hampden-Newburgh.
Katrina Beal and Brittany Smith aided the Sunrise cause with two singles apiece.
For Hampden-Newburgh, Lili Berube belted a double and a single. Megan Osborne slammed a triple and Lauren Berg rapped a double.
