MILLINOCKET – Justin Cummings scored five rushing touchdowns and tallied another score on a 21-yard interception return as Stearns rolled to a 48-6 high school football win over Mount Desert Island on Friday night.
Cummings finished with 17 carries, 204 yards. Rick Deloge followed up with a 25 yard touchdown pass to Les Cote.
MDI’s John Lewis recorded a 42-yard touchdown for the 0-5 Trojans.

At Lincoln, Jared McCarthy paced Mattanawcook Academy with 19 carries for 133 yards and three touchdowns.
Dan Muncey followed up with five completions on seven attempts, and two touchdowns. Nate Leighton recorded 22 carries for 173 yards for the Lynx of Lincoln.
Kevin Armstrong led Dexter with two rushing touchdowns and a 65 yard fumble recovery touchdown.

At Oakland, Chad Dennis rushed for two touchdowns and the Messalonskee defense held firm all night long while remaining unbeaten.
Dennis scooted for a 56-yard touchdown in the second quarter and rambled 27 yards for another score in the fourth for Messalonskee.
Dennis finished with 171 yards.
John Dickinson rushed 15 times for 93 yards for the Broncos. Brian Groshon added 79 yards on 14 carries.

At Skowhegan, Caleb McKenzie scooted 10 yards for the game-winning touchdown in the third overtime period as the Rams nipped Skowhegan.
B.J. Dunlap forced the overtime when he bulled in in a one-yard keeper with 2:28 to go in the fourth quarter.
Dustin Thibodeau gave the Rams a 6-0 first-quarter cushion when he gathered in a 27-yard McKenzie pass.

Rockland’s Blair Drinkwater scored the Tigers’ only TD with a six-yard run in the final quarter.
