HIGH SCHOOL Chris McCabe

Winslow tailback/safety Chris McCabe is the LTC/K&M Motors Class B Player of the Week after accumulating 240 yards and four touchdowns on just 11 carries last week. McCabe also had eight tackle in a win against Brewer.

Ben Hall

Maine Central Institute fullback/linebacker Ben Hall was named LTC/K&M Motors Class C Player of the Week after gaining 278 yards and three touchdowns on 24 carries in a win over Dexter. Hall has gone over the 1,000-yard mark this season.

COLLEGE Karen Droog

Karen Droog, a freshman left wing for the University of Maine’s women’s hockey team, was chosen ECAC Rookie of the Week. The Listowel, Ontario native had three goals and two assists to lead Maine to 4-1 and 5-2 victories over Bemidji State (Minn.).
