ROCKLAND – The youth choir of St. John the Baptist Episcopal Church in Thomaston will present a concert at the Farnsworth Art Museum in Rockland.
The concert will be at 2:30 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 3. Anthony Antolini will direct.
The concert will feature works by Akers, Holst and Joncas.
The choir will also perform several works from the gospel and spiritual traditions and two folk songs from South Africa.
Pianist Clayton W. Smith of Bangor will accompany the choir.
St. John’s youth choir was founded in 1991 and sings regularly at the Thomaston church.
Members of the choir range in age from 6 to 14 and come from many midcoast towns.
The concert will be in the auditorium and is free with museum admission, and to Rockland residents.
