VANCOUVER, British Columbia – Former University of Maine All-American Steve Kariya of the Vancouver Canucks was demoted to the IHL’s Kansas City Blades on Thursday.

Kariya, younger brother of Anaheim Mighty Ducks superstar Paul Kariya, had one goal and seven assists in 16 games with the Canucks this season.
