BANGOR – US Youth Soccer recently named Freeport’s Mike Healy as the 2000 Region 1 Youth Boys’ Coach of the Year.

Healy, who received Soccer Maine’s Youth Boys’ Coach of the Year award last March, was chosen for the Region 1 award from a list of nominees. He will travel to Las Vegas for the U.S. Youth Soccer Workshop where he and the winners from the three other regions will be presented with their awards. One of the coaches will be named as the National Youth Boys’ Coach of the Year.
