CAMDEN – A man and a woman were found shot to death Friday inside a home on Route 52 in what Maine State Police termed a murder-suicide.

Details were sketchy and the identities of the dead were being withheld until family members could be notified.

Camden police received a telephone call in the late afternoon from a third party who had received a call from the man, said Stephen McCausland, spokesman for the state Public Safety Department.

Police arrived at the home and found the woman’s body inside. A state police tactical team was called in and found the man’s body in another room.

A medical examiner was en route to the home Friday night.
