MANCHESTER – An elderly Manchester resident was killed in a car accident just feet from her own driveway.

Gladys Roderick, 83, was killed Monday while turning into her driveway on Route 2.

According to Kennebec police, Roderick collided with a pickup truck. The driver of the truck, Daniel McLaughlin, 27, of Winthrop is not expected to be charged.
