PORTLAND – A potential buyer traveled to Portland to meet with representatives of BroadcastAmerica.com, an Internet broadcasting company mired in bankruptcy.
Meetings were to be held Thursday night and Friday, said Roger Clement, an attorney representing BroadcastAmerica.
“We remain optimistic that there will be a deal for the sale of some or all of this company that will generate enough money to pay creditors,” Clement said Thursday from his law office.
The latest development follows an announcement late last week that the company no longer had enough money to pay
its workers, some of whom decided to remain on a voluntary basis.
A federal judge also gave a pair of key vendors permission to shut off service to the company on Friday.
