Kevin Roberts lifts Mount View past Winslow

THORNDIKE – Russ Peters scored eight of his 12 points in the second quarter Friday night as Mount View outscored Winslow 21-7 in the period on its way to a 65-50 schoolboy basketball victory.

Kevin Roberts scored 21 points to lead Mount View and Kyle Bradford netted 13.

Mike Hughes’ game-high 22 points paced Winslow and Nate Boutin had nine.

Pat McCleary chipped in with 18 points, six rebounds, five steals and two blocked shot. He also hit a basket off an inbounds pass from Ben Sobey with less than 10 seconds left to send the game into overtime. Josh Madden scored 11.

Jordan Shields netted 31 points to lead the Warriors of Dyer Brook. Corey Shields added 13 points and Devon Wilkins contributed 12.
