Kittery police arrested a 14-year-old Hermon boy Thursday after discovering his age, the fact he didn’t have a license, and that the vehicle he had been driving had been stolen from Hermon.

The youth was stopped during a routine traffic stop in Kittery, officials said.

The 2000 Pontiac Grand Am had been reported stolen at 9:16 a.m. from a Kimball Drive home and was stolen sometime between midnight and 9 a.m., Penobscot County Sheriff’s Department Deputy Chip Briggs said.

A 6-foot high, coin-operated Pepsi vending machine was stolen from behind Papa Gino’s on Bangor Mall Boulevard during the last few weeks, a former manager of the now-closed establishment told Bangor police Wednesday morning.

The manager had been out of the state and returned to find the machine missing, Bangor police Officer Larry Morrill said. The machine had been stored behind the building near a trash bin.

The machine had been purchased for $250.

A Bangor man had to cancel his debit card when an unknown person used his card number to purchase more than $400 worth of Internet services, Bangor police Officer Larry Morrill said. The charges to the man’s debit card were made during the end of March.

Police were still investigating the theft Thursday.

A Bangor man reported that a package of hydrocodone he had been expecting in the mail was stolen, officials said.

The man reported the items missing on Tuesday after officials at the post office reported delivering the package on March 23 to the Union Street address, Bangor police Officer Butch Moor said. Police did not know the number of pills taken or what their value was.
