OLD TOWN — In a reorganizational earlier in the week, the Old Town School Board elected Gary Bulduc to be its next chairman and Ron Sagner as its vice chairman.
Also, Donald Spencer was re-elected president of the Old Town City Council on Monday.
Bulduc, who previously had been vice chairman, has sat on the board for two years and replaces Robert Fiske to head the board. Sagner has been on the board for one year.
Before the meeting, new board members Sandra Pinkham, Ralph Coffman and Linda McLeod were sworn in at City Hall. Pinkham narrowly defeated Fiske, an 18-year board veteran, to fill the third seat in the Nov. 5 election.
While it first appeared that Fiske had won re-election by three votes, a recount in mid-November uncovered some ballot mistakes. Although the results were not conclusive, the recount ended with Pinkham’s having a 10-vote margin and Fiske conceded Pinkham’s victory.
