Mary Hurd, manager of the Bucksport McDonald’s, recently received the Ray Croc Award, an honor bestowed on only 128 of McDonald’s managers in the country.

Named after McDonald’s founder, the award is given to managers who are most successful in achieving superior results in the areas of operational excellence, reinforcing commitment to people and building the business.

McDonald’s owner-operators nominate managers for the award to recognize them for their hard work, dedication and commitment. From there, a local selection committee consisting of representatives from McDonald’s Operations, Training and Human Resources select the top 1 percent of McDonald’s restaurant managers for the award.
