FREDERICTON, New Brunswick – Todd Middleton and Drew Meredith combined to score 46 points to lead the University of Maine-Machias to an 86-65 victory over the University of New Brunswick here Wednesday night.
After taking a slim 41-40 lead into halftime, UMM responded by holding the Red Bloomers to just 25 second-half points. The win moved the Clippers record to 11-4. UNB fell to 13-8.
Middleton had 25 for UMM while Meredith posted 21. Mike Payne added 17 more.
For UNB, Yaw Oberg and Bobby O’Brien posted 14 points each.
