GORHAM – Allison Gagnon erupted for 23 points and Katariina Pulkkinen added 22 more to carry the University of Southern Maine to an 87-75 win over the University of New England of Biddeford in women’s college basketball action Monday night.
Laura Pate chipped in with 16 points for USM, which improved to 14-6. Kerry Eaton scored 10.
For UNE, 15-8, Lisa Nejezchleba led the way with 30 points and grabbed 11 rebounds. Maureen Cahill contributed 13 points and Darcie Trudeau hit for 11.
