DEXTER — The annual science fair was held Feb. 28 at the Dexter Middle School, with more than 100 pupils entering the event.
In fifth grade, Erin Smith won first place; Cory Stone, second; Kathy Sullivan, third; and Alyson Hibbard, honorable mention.
In sixth grade, Will Rudmin took first place; Ben Cookson, second; and Ian Sady, third. Honorable mention went to Anders Pearson.
In seventh grade, Travis Fogler won first place; Angela Haven second; Toby Stone, third; and Noah Schottenfeld, honorable mention.
Mandi Pratt won first place in the eighth-grade division and her project also was judged Best of Fair. Jason Rocha won second place in that grade; Heather Swan, third place; and Steve Pfirman took the honorable mention award.
The Environmental Awareness Award was given to Jennifer Cox, and Jason Rocha won the Technology-Invention Award.
