The following annual town meetings have been scheduled for March in the southern Aroostook County and northern Penobscot County area:

New Limerick

The town meeting for New Limerick will be held Monday, March 25, at the North Star Hall. Voters will elect a clerk and one selectman for a three-year term.

Merrill

The town meeting for Merrill will be held at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, March 26, at the Southern Aroostook Community School. Voting for municipal officlas will take place before the meeting from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the town office. Incumbent Albert Bouchie is seeking re-election to a three-year term on the board of selectmen.

Smyrna

The Smyrna town meeting will be held at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, March 27, at the Southern Aroostook Community School. Polls will be open before the meeting from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the town office. Incumbents Linda White and David Hersey are each seeking re-election to three-year terms on the board of selectmen. Ross P. Crandall also is seeking election to one of those posts.
