CHERRYFIELD – Washington County sheriff’s deputies have arrested two people and summoned a third for illegal possession or trafficking in prescription narcotics.
Sgt. Michael Crabtree said Dina Bradberry, 39, of Milbridge was arrested Monday on a charge of trafficking in Schedule W drugs after she allegedly sold hydromorphone to Debra Reynolds, 26, of Columbia and Richard Timmons, 41, of Winter Harbor.
Reynolds, who is out on bail on a burglary charge, was arrested on a charge of violating conditions of release after she tested positive for opiates, the sergeant said.
Crabtree said Timmons was summoned for possession of a Schedule W drug and possession of a usable amount of marijuana.
Crabtree said he and Lt. Michael Riggs arrested the women and summoned Timmons after Maine State Police Trooper Barry Curtis assisted the deputies with a traffic stop of Bradberry’s car Monday on Main Street in Cherryfield.
Crabtree said he and Riggs became suspicious when they saw Reynolds sitting in a car outside a Milbridge pharmacy.
She apparently was waiting for Bradberry to fill her prescription for hydromorphone, the sergeant said.
Crabtree said Bradberry allegedly sold part of her prescription – which was covered by Medicaid and cost her 50 cents – to Reynolds and Timmons.
The street value of the pills is $5, Crabtree said.
