PRESQUE ISLE – Seminars to help people with disabilities live successfully in their communities will be offered in May and June by Alpha One at sites in Aroostook and Washington counties.
Alpha One is a community-based organization that provides information, services and products to people with disabilities.
A seminar on driving with a disability will be offered 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Thursday, May 2, at the Career Center in Calais; 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Thursday, May 9, at Northern Maine Medical Center in Fort Kent; 11:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m. Friday, May 17, in the Chan Center at Cary Medical Center in Caribou; and 11 a.m. -1 p.m. Wednesday, May 22, at Houlton Regional Hospital.
A seminar dealing with options for returning to work will be held 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Wednesday, June 5, at the Career Center in Calais; 3-5 p.m. Wednesday, June 5, at Northern Maine Medical Center in Fort Kent; 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Thursday, June 6, in the Chan Center at Cary Medical Center in Caribou; and 10 a.m.-noon Friday, June 7, at Houlton Regional Hospital.
