Hampden-Winterport beats Jasmine’s

HAMPDEN – Rick Dodge and Al Barton each had a goal and an assist to lead Hampden-Winterport to a 7-2 Central Maine Summer Soccer League win over Jasmine’s of Orono here Wednesday. For 3-0-2 Hampden, Scott Davis had a goal and an assist. Corey Crocker and Brett Cohen each scored a goal. For 2-3 Jasmine’s, Kyle Churchill scored both goals.

Legend’s defeats Downeast

MACHIAS – Jon Largay scored 2 goals to lead Legend’s of Bangor to a 5-1 win over host Downeast Soccer Club here Wednesday in Central Maine Summer Soccer League action. For 2-1-1 Legend’s Mark Fernald, Bill Ashby and Tina Lakeman each scored a goal. For 0-4 Downeast, Scott Rier scored the lone goal.

Hardwick Fence in shutout win

HERMON – Rich Ellisen had two goals and an assist and Eric Higgins posted a perfect effort as Hardwick Fence blanked Supra Hardwick 6-0 in Central maine Summer Soccer League action here Wednesday. Adding goals for the 2-0-2 winners were Mark Hawes, Randy Tozier, Ron Tpzier, and Steve Lindsay. Supra Hardwick is 0-5.

MDI Blues tip U.N.

ORONO – The MDI Blues won their first game after a loss and a tie by upending previously unbeaten U.N. 2-0 at the UM practice field here Wednesday in Central Maine Summer Soccer League play. Ewen Whittaker scored on a penalty kick and Eric Rogers scored unassisted to back up goalie Kevin Richards, 5 saves, 6 shots. U.N. is 3-1-1.
