Machias Bay Chamber plans to meet on breakfast cruise

CUTLER — A breakfast cruise of selected areas of the Maine coast, beginning at 8 a.m. Friday, July 19, will highlight the regular meeting of the Machias Bay Area Chamber of Commerce.

Jim Thompson, executive director of the Maine Publicity Bureau, will be the MBACC’s guest. The topic for the chamber’s Eggs & Issues meeting at sea will be tourism. The boat, provided by Bold Coast Charter Co. of Cutler, will leave Cutler at 8 a.m. and return at about 9:30 a.m. Breakfast will be provided by Sandwich Shop Plus of Machias.

Because seating is limited to 25 people, reservations must be made by calling the chamber at 255-4402. Donations of $10 are suggested to defray the cost of the tour and meal.

In case of inclement weather, the Eggs & Issues meeting will be held at the Gates House, home of the Machiasport Historical Society on Route 92 in Machiasport.
