Absolute S.C. blanks International

ORONO – Todd Smith scored a hat trick in a 10-minute span of the second half to lead Absolute Soccer Club of Bangor to a 3-0 victory over Internatinal Soccer Club of Orono in Central Maine Summer Soccer League action Wednesday. For 14-1-2 Absolute, formerly Athletic Attic, the victory clinched its 12th straight northern division title. Jan Semba, Dale Wibberly, and Chris Casperson each had an assist. Jayson Reynolds notched the shutout. The loss dropped International to 11-4-1.

Legend’s tops Jasmines

Jason Hill, Jay Darling and Eric Rhoades scored 2 goals apiece as Legend’s defeaeted Jasmines 7-3 in CMSSL action at Husson College in Bangor Wednesday. Al Tripp added a goal for 10-5-2 Legend’s. For Jasmines, 4-13-1, Carl Churchill scored 2 goals and Khoi Bullion had a goal.

Hampden blanks Hardwick

HAMPDEN – Donnie Lawrence scored a goal and assisted on 2 others as the Hampden CMSSL team defeated Hardwick Fence 4-0 Wednesday. Scott Davis added a goal and an assist for 11-3-4 Hamdpen and Pedro Quint and Rich Dodge scored a goal apiece. Goalie Matt Cohen recorded his fourth shutout of the season. Hardwick is now 7-5-3.

MDI Blues thumps Supra H.F.

HERMON – John Fitzgerald had a hat trick to help pace MDI Blues to a 13-0 win over host Supra Hardwick Fence here in Wednesday in CMSSL action. For 12-3-2 MDI, Jeff Leonard scored 2 goals. Ewen Whittaker and Dan Goldthwaite combined on the shutout. Supra dropped to 0-17.
