CAMDEN — The Old Historic Conway House Complex, an 18th century restored farmhouse, barn, blacksmith shop and Victorian privy, and the Mary Meeker Cramer Museum operated by the Camden-Rockport Historical Society have opened for the season.
In celebration of the incorporation of the Town of Camden in 1791 and of Rockport in 1891 numerous photographs and area memorabilia including items from Rockport High School and the Mount Battie House are on display. Turn-of-the-century fashions are also on exhibit in the newly renovated Alma Anderson Costume Room in the Cramer Museum.
The complex, located off U.S. Route 1 on the Camden-Rockport line, is listed on the Maine State Register of Historic Sites and the National Register of Historic Places and is open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday through Friday. An admission fee is charged.
