MILWAUKEE – The Brewers placed Bangor resident Matt Stairs on the 15-day disabled list Sunday with a strained left hamstring and activated infielder Luis Lopez.

Stairs’ move is retroactive to Friday. He was hitting .111 with one homer and three RBIs in 23 games for the Brewers.

Lopez began the season on the DL with a hamstring injury.
