Memorial High School

BINGHAM – Principal Juliana J. Richard has announced the honor parts for the Class of 2002. Commencement will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, June 2, at Upper Kennebec Valley Memorial High School.

Carolyn Robinson, daughter of Seth and Jorja Robinson of Pleasant Ridge, has been named valedictorian for the Class of 2002. She plans to attend the University of Maine to study operation science.

Her activities at Valley High include basketball, softball and soccer, playing four years in each sport and becoming a sport captain three times. She received awards such as being named top rebounder in basketball the last two years, the coaches award in soccer, and Cross-Country East-West Conference runner-up during her freshman and sophomore yeas. She is a member of the yearbook staff.

Allen Small, son of Steven and Pamela Small of Bingham, has been named salutatorian for the Class of 2002. He will study computer engineering at the University of Maine.

He is second in his class, is a three-year member of the National Honor Society and is the treasurer. He is a member of the yearbook staff. He has participated with the math team and was top junior in the state East-West conference.

Carrabec High School

NORTH ANSON – Honor parts for the Class of 2002 have been announced by Principal James Weggler. Commencement will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, June 9, in the Carrabec High School Gymnasium.

Noella Schink, daughter of Darlene Schink of New Portland and Stephen Schink of North New Portland, has been named valedictorian for the Class of 2002. She will attend Skidmore College in Saratoga Springs, N.Y.

Schink has been on the high honor roll for each ranking period of her high school career. She has a grade-point average of 98 for her four years at Carrabec High School. She has been recognized in academics, athletics, and extra curricular activities.

Emily Cornell du Houx, daughter of Paul and Ramona Cornell du Houx of Solon, has been named salutatorian for the Class of 2002. She will attend Amherst College in Massachusetts.

Cornell du Houx has a grade-point average of 97 over the past four years at Carrabec High School.
