PORTLAND – Paul Peterson scored 25 points to help lead the Westbrook Wildcats to a 102-73 men’s basketball win over the University of Maine-Augusta Rebels here Wednesday night.
Jason Bedell added 13 points for the 12-6 winners, J.P. Fennessey put in 11, and Chad Quinn and Gary Kuhn each netted 10.
Westbrook rolled out to a 24-point lead in the first half, but the Rebels managed to cut it down to nine before the Wildcats put them away.
Mike Jack paced the 6-9 winners with 19 points, J.J. Barnes added 12, and Brian Ervingham netted 11.
