DOVER-FOXCROFT — Officers for the Omicron Chapter of Delta Kappa Gamma International Educational Society were elected at a meeting held Monday, Feb. 3, at SeDoMoCha Junior High School in Dover-Foxcroft.
Several reports were presented including suggested changes to membership rules. Voting on the recommended changes will take place at the March meeting.
Elected officers for the biennium were Minnie McCormick, Dover-Foxcroft, president; Priscilla White, Dover-Foxcroft, first vice president; Gloria Burns Rockwood, second vice president; Colleen Grover, Corinna, corresponding secretary; and Dianne Leighton, Dover-Foxcroft, recording secretary.
The program for the meeting was a presentation by Linda Hubbard-McBrierty titled “Phase II of the Literacy Program.” The program is a prenatal reading program by parents. Volunteers were requested to assist with the program in the local area.
Members were informed that Vivienne Bray of Monson, a charter member and now on reserve member status, is a patient at the Hibbard Nursing Home in Dover-Foxcroft.
The next meeting will be held Monday, March 2, at the Dexter Regional High School. The program will be “Changing Faces of Schools.”
