MACHIAS — The Washington County Soil & Water Conservation District has announced its annual spring program for stocking private ponds with trout. Brook trout and rainbow trout are available in various sizes. A stocking permit is required from the Maine Department of Inland Fisheries and Wildlife. For information or to request an order form, call 255-4659 or 255-3995. Orders received before April 1, 1992, will receive a bonus of 10 percent more fish. The trout will arrive for pickup May 12 at the Federal Building on Court Street, Machias.
