MILLINOCKET — This year the Millinocket Parks and Recreation Department has joined forces with the Downtown Merchants Association and the Chamber of Commerce in planning Fourth of July festivities.

The group is planning a parade at 10 a.m. on the Fourth and entertainment at the downtown bandstand throughout the afternoon.

The recreation department will sponsor its fourth annual craft fair from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Categories for exhibitors will be crafts, food sales amd non-profit organizations with displays, prizes or food items.

To participate in the fair, contact the recreation department at 723-5002 for an application. The application deadline is Friday, June 15.
