Kim Ireland reached a harness racing milestone Friday night at Bangor Raceway when he picked up the 1,000th win of his career.

Ireland drove the number eight horse, Penny’s Princess, to the win in the eighth race of the night.

Ireland, 47, of Gardiner received his racing license in 1975.
