A great deal of emphasis is on Route 90 as an alternative for the tourists as a way to save the so-called scenic Route 1 in Warren. There are also a lot of working class of people who use 1 to go to real jobs everyday in Rockland. It may be shorter to take 90 to Rockport from Warren, but it is about four miles longer to go to Rockland.
I have been amazed at the cleverly written opposition letters. If these people drove Route 1 Warren in the winter, they would have seen how narrow and even more dangerous it is with snow banks on each side. I bet if the artist was with me a few times on my eight years of driving in to work, it wouldn’t be a tree she painted, but a portrait of dangerous narrow roads.
