Caribou takes 2-1 win

LIMESTONE – Brian Donovan and Jason Wyman scored goals as Caribou edged Loring AFB 2-1 in Aroostook Summer Soccer League action Sunday at Loring. Chris Funk was the winning goalkeeper for 2-1 Caribou. Mike Hardigan had the score for 0-3 Loring while John Torres and John Long shared goalie duties.

MDI Blues defeat Lubec

NORTHEAST HARBOR – John Fitzgerald scored three goals here Sunday to spark the MDI Blues to an 8-1 Central Maine Summer Soccer League victory over Lubec. Dan Goldthwait and Ewan Whittaker each recorded a goal and two assists for the 1-0-1 winners, while Porter Fox, Tom Savage and Matt Williams cogoal apiece. Mel Gallant tallied the lone goal for 0-1-1 Lubec.
